Launched in 2007, Alexandra von Bromssen's aesthetic is a blend of Euro sophistication and street edge - understated and functional.
Through fashion, Alexandria von Bromssen taps into a darker realm of humanity, exposing our desire for acceptance and submission. At the same time her methodical designs capture the essence of strength and confidence, providing a suitable armor for the 21st century urban warrior princess: a strong, intelligent woman with a keen understanding of the power of her femininity. Alexandria von Bromssen’s designs are statements only to be worn by those who dare to embrace their own inner beauty.

Chan.nel Karama Ltd.
Chan.nel Karama Ltd. is, since its conception in 2004, a one-woman operation. CEO/designer, LC Skinner, since her days as a student at University of California, Berkeley, has engulfed herself in all things creative. This multi-faceted artist is considered to be a renaissance woman, a title attributable to the various career fields such as fashion journalism, wardrobe styling, production, apparel and graphic design that she holds titles in. She has created two lines of clothing, Chan.nel Karama Limited and Karama Denim Luxe Brands. Her clothing is a hybrid of couture and street fashions, intermingling the flair of vintage clothing and the individualism of Hip Hop culture. Being from the diverse city of San Francisco, she saw that this genre of fashion was left vacant in her cities eclectic fashion scene.
Skinner explains, “Being myself is a must! ..and I don’t feel the same way every day. So my personal style is sporadic and almost a bit schizophrenic. Some days I want jeans and a t-shirt, then the next day I want something a bit more formal. I just make sure everybody can relate to at least one piece in each collection”. Chan.nel Karama Limited and Karama Denim Luxe are lines of quality, on trend clothing for women of a myriad of sizes spanning from size 0-22 and has items as low as $10 yet, no item is more than $500. Her items have been featured in multiple media outlets such as the 2006 BET Awards, Uptown Style Weekly, Yo! TV, in various magazines and on the runways in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta and more recently New York City for Full Figured Fashion Week 2010. With the New York showing, CKL has recieved press in Vogue Italia's VogueCurvy, Rueters.com, and countless blogs and online magazines such as The Curvy Fashionista, Manik and Skorch magazines, We are officially launching our online store in Summer 2010 and our line will be placed in various stores nationwide by Winter 2010. About the clothing direction this season
This season’s popular items are the Onyx Distressed Leggings and the Obscure Obscenity line of accessories. Channel Karama’s latest collection, entitled “Obscenely Obscure”, pokes fun at the colorful antics of the current Hollywood It-girl while showcasing inventive twist on trends using obscure materials. Accessories mimicking censor bars play on the obscene behaviors shown in various media outlets of these “It-girls” yet have an underlying message of being a renegade/risqué in our own daily happenings, even down to our attire. This sharp witted satire is meant to arrest the attention of critics, connoisseurs and the creators of the fashion. In tune with the thirst of individuality in the world of high fashion Chan.nel Karama Limited delivers a wardrobe compiled with ingenious themes, making it an anomaly in the ebb and flow of pop culture and the fashion it produces. The self proclaimed “clothing line for ALL individuals” encourages everyone to brush your geometric-gravity defying-padded shoulders off and step into the wilder side of fashion.
Every summer Chan.nel Karama releases a line of swimwear based upon the theme of the spring/summer collection. In every collection, we recreate our signature “Rapunzel” swimsuit. This piece is whimsically named after the Brothers Grimm fairytale character donning incredibly long locks of hair. This modified one piece has a halter styled top which ties behind the neck ties. The remaining fabric of the tails flows from the tied knot at the neck, down the back just shy of knee length.

VINTAGE JOY by Joy Fan
Joy Fan reshapes San Francisco fashion with her unique take on iconic studio era silhouettes. Details like lace, embroidery and beads speak for these silhouettes and insinuate feminine sensuality that redelivers mystery and eloquence to the art of flirting. The attention to these details while permitting each piece to tell a story is signature Vintage Joy.
Having worked alongside of former New York Gucci Designer: Junichi Hakamaki; Joy bridges fantasy with technique in her collections. Her experience in New York, from designing at Anna Sui, Juicy Couture and Saks Fifth Private Label; has allowed her to unfold a foundation of street style while refining it with her taste for glamour. Her education stems from a cumulative Environmental Fashion Design study at the University of California, Davis; which gained her a Bachelor of Science. Thus, mindful of revolutionizing the consciousness of the environment through glamour, Joy always knew that “vintage” would play a dominant role in her work. To this day she enjoys treasured finds to create one-of-a-kind pieces that have a memory of the past but continues to tell a story through the individual who personifies her designs.
Fueled by a need to bring fashion back to a time when clothes were specifically tailored to the individual, Joy uses quality fabrics with a strict attention to what accentuates the female form. Each seam and dart is carefully considered for each client allowing Joy’s personal handiwork to stand out amongst the machine duplicated clothing. The high level of workmanship is a nod to a time when clothing was more than an extension of a woman’s look.
What generally defines “vintage” is a design originally born with high quality workmanship and a classic silhouette able to withstand the passing of time. The Vintage Joy philosophy is to adhere to the “vintage standard” in the present.
Now residing in her hometown: San Francisco, Joy has done several Fashion Shows that have showcased her love for the creative industry; ranging from MultiMedia Art Productions to Band Showcases. A few venues include: the Red Devil Lounge (as part of the Ant Show Production), DNA Lounge, Fat City, Etiquette Lounge, Slims, Roe, Club Six and many more locations in the bay area.
Joy’s fashion can be found through consignment boutiques or upon inquiry of her custom designs. You may contact Joy at joy@vintagejoy.com.

Valpixel
Through concealing and/or exposing the human body, I seek to explore ideas or concepts which interest me. I am not interested in simply dressing the body - there are enough individuals and companies to do this. Rather, I aim to, in a sustainable way, seek innovation and expression while creating aesthetically pleasing garments using design principles.
My current collection entitled "Note to SELF" was conceived through trying to find a way to express the connectivity we share with the technology we create - both visceral and psychological. Technology is merely an extension of humanity, yet it sometimes seems to dehumanize us. To somehow communicate this feeling I developed a pixel print and created asymmetrical patterns using shapes inspired by the shapes and lines of the human muscle structure. Every pieces was designed, patterned, cut and sewn by me.

Work Clothes
For others and itself, Work is a design and printing company specialized in artist books, apparel, and silkscreen editions.
The primary studio and printing facility quartered in sunny Oakland, California, handled the design and printing of the pieces you see under the name, Work Clothes.
Now, Work's collection of printed garments reflect a mix of concepts and observations of work in the contemporary world. Think of it all as modern urban American work clothing and then let the patterns and designs field your reactions.
